100 Years at a Time
Before a vine takes root, there is a farmer. Before a bottle is poured, there is a family. For over a century, the Brockhoff father and son tended this land in Rutherford. Now, father and son John and Nat Komes carry that same torch—with the conviction to farm it for a thousand years more.
This land has raised not only grapes, but generations. Families have lived, worked, and dreamed here among the forested Mayacamas hills, where the soil is dark with memory and the mornings are washed in gold.
The Komes family has sold their grapes to Napa Valley’s finest wineries for half a century. Now, for the first time, they offer something rarer: a wine of their own bearing the family name. Komes Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is the pinnacle expression of this place—crafted in small quantities, drawn from vineyards farmed with sustainable practices, and offered only to those who value authenticity over abundance.
Komes Estate is not a grand showpiece, nor a stage set for fleeting fashions. It is a home, a vineyard, and a vision—measured not in seasons or sales, but in centuries.
Here, wine is not just made. It is kept, handed down, and lived. 100 years at a time.
